When citing an e-book, avoid using device specific numbering for the in-text citation. Try to use stable numbered sections, such as chapters, instead. 

Books in a Series

Last Name, First Name. Title of Book. Publisher, date of publication. Title of series number of series.

Sommer, Doris. Foundational Fictions: The National Romances of Latin America. University of California Press, 1991. Latin American Literature and Culture 8.

 

Corresponding In-Text Citation

Date of Original Publication

When a source has been republished, you may want to include the date of original publication to provide the reader with additional information that could be helpful in retrieving the original work.

The date of original publication is placed immediately after the title of the source, before all other details related to the publication.
