Environment Social Governance (ESG)

Bloomberg Environmental Social Governance (ESG) is a self-paced e-learning course that provides an introduction to implementing ESG strategies and ESG reporting. key concepts involved in finance and investment. a visual introduction to the financial markets. ESG consists of 7 modules – Introduction to ESG and Sustainable Finance; Researching and Adopting ESG; Negative Screening & Positive Screening; ESG Integration - Income; ESG Integration - Equities; Corporate Governance & Shareholder Activism and Reporting Sustainability Activities. 

ESG is free for JCU users from one of the terminals. The subscription is, however, only available on Bloomberg terminals. When you register to get started you will be required to create a dedicated login, from which you can access the modules dashboard.

Once you are in the BMC section you can Log in. Select Log In with SSO:

On the first access, you will be asked to Sign up. Choose to continue as a Learner; you will be prompted to a new page:

 

Hit Launch course: the default browser will open to your account on the Bloomberg Education portal, where you can start the 4 modules. After the first time, the Log In with SSO option will directly lead you to the Launch course page. On the browser, please select Certificates and then Environmental Social Governance (ESG):

By clicking on ESG on the menu you will access the course page, where you can work through the different modules and check your progress. You can pause and resume the module whenever you want.

 

 

 To earn the certificate only the 4 modules with the certificate icon are required.

The Bloomberg ESG page also includes other modules that you are free to complete but that are not required for receiving the BMC certificate.
