polar bear holiday greetings

Dear JCU community,

On behalf of the Library Staff, I would like to remind you that the Frohring Library will be closed from Monday, December 21 to Sunday, January 10, 2021.

We will provide basic loans services for those that need to check out or return items. There will be a librarian working every Monday to take care of these services, therefore you can follow the instructions available on the website. Requested books will be then available for pick-up at the Guarini Front Office, and items can be returned as usual in the book drop cart at the Guarini entrance.

All electronic resources will, of course, remain available remotely, and this is the good thing about having access to them in the first place: no need to come to the Library!

We will resume all regular services on Monday, January 11.

For any urgent library related issue, do not to hesitate to send a message to referenceservices@johcnabot.edu.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for the support you gave us in this tough semester, and we would like to wish Happy Holidays to you and your families.

We would like to inform you that on Tuesday, December 29th and Wednesday, December 30th, Moodle will be “under maintenance” due to the upcoming upgrade to the new version. Therefore, the platform will not be available during those dates. On December 31st and January 1st we will be checking and making sure that everything is in place, so that starting from January 2nd things should be fine.

We take this opportunity to wish you happy holidays.

Cheers,

The Moodle Support Team

Moodle will be not available from Sunday, December 13, at 10pm , to Monday, December 14, at 2am (Rome time), for an urgent maintenance that cannot be scheduled at a different moment.

Given that the unavailability of the platform is during the final exams period, we would like to make sure that all students are not taking (starting or finishing) an exam, or uploading any paper during that 4 hours window.

Students and faculty have been notified. For questions or concerns, even after hours, do not hesitate to get in touch with moodlesupport@johncabot.edu, the support team will be happy to assist you.
