The celebrated novel by Colson Whitehead, The Underground Railroad, has won the Pulitzer Prize 2017 for fiction.
After winning the National Book Award last fall, Whitehead receives another important recognition for his novel.
For the first time in over 20 years a work receives both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
You can find The Underground Railroad in the library collection, and more information about international literary prizes can be found in the online library guide.
On Friday April 14 the Library will be open from 8:00 am to 12:45 pm.
From Saturday April 15 to Monday April 17 the Library will be closed along with the University for the Easter holidays.
Regular opening hours will resume on Tuesday, April 18.
We are happy to announce that the trial for the following resources has been extended to April 21, 2017:
Entertainment Industry Data brings together Film Industry Data and Music Industry Data in a single platform. The data sets can be combined, enabling researchers to compare music and films across decades and countries.
Film Industry Data: Nielsen data is at the core of the offering, and similar data from other countries will be added on a regular basis.
Music Industry Data: Data from over thirty countries is presented from the earliest inception date - in the case of the USA and UK back to the mid 1950s. The data in the platform can be used to create comparisons across countries, artists, and time.
