During the month of October, the Frohring Library will partner with the English Department, in collaboration with Student Services, Student Government, the Literature Club, The Theatre Society, and Keats Shelley House, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Frankenstein and to explore the extraordinary afterlife of Mary Shelley’s creation through our participation in Frankenreads – a worldwide celebration of the novel.
Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to participate in a global read-a-thon of Frankenstein which will be happening every Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime this month. You can sign up to read 10 minutes of the novel on film by clicking on the following button.
Throughout October there will also be screenings of four of the many films inspired by the novel, and other events will be organized. Here you can find the full FrankenMonth schedule:
